What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

12/15 Buy

Derrick White, SG, San Antonio Spurs

Highest Potential Bid: $5.00

Break-Even Point: 34

If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the White recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $5 per share for White. He needs to finish 34th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.

For example, if I buy 1 share of White at $5 and he finishes 34th in this field, I make my $5 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $20). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $4). It’s that simple.

White’s seen mixed results for the San Antonio Spurs this season. Through 26 games, he’s averaging 13.9 points with 3.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.2 steals in 31.1 minutes per game. White’s averages have jumped over the last 10 days, as he’s averaging a 20.0/4.3/5.0/1.5 line over that span. He’s flashed elite upside recently, as well, posting 40+ fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games, including a 56 fantasy point performance against the New Orleans Pelicans.

White gets a great matchup against the Charlotte Hornets tonight. They’ve struggled against shooting guards throughout the season, specifically versatile options. White’s shot selection ranges all over the court this season. Charlotte’s struggled from virtually every section, although they’ve been slightly better defending the three-point line. With that being said, they’re still only average there.

White’s averaging 6.3 rebound chances per game throughout the season. That number’s jumped slightly to 7.6 over his last 5 games as well. White’s also averaging 9.1 potential assists per game in 2021. Similar to the rebound chances, his potential assists jump to 10.4 over his last 5 games.

White boasts 20+ point upside, as he’s hit that mark in 5 of his last 8 games. He also has triple-double upside, posting 8 rebounds and 9 assists in his last game. He can add a couple of blocks or a few assists on any given night as well. White’s versatility should give Charlotte plenty of trouble tonight.

This game should offer plenty of opportunities for fantasy points, as both teams rank in the top-six of the NFL in pace. The Hornets are finally getting healthier, and White should be locked into 30+ minutes tonight. He generally doesn’t boast slate-breaking upside, but he comes with plenty of potential in this matchup.
