  • Hello everybody and welcome back to another DFS Karma Game Theory article! Today there are a couple things to monitor regarding injuries and COVID-19 protocols, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. For injury news, please make sure to check our injury article here! This is a massive 10 game slate filled with a ton of great competitive games. There’s a lot to digest here but I’m just going to try to keep it as simple as possible. The biggest news of the day that we will be waiting on comes from the Toronto Raptors, who currently have Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam’s status’s listed as Questionable. On top of that, Kemba Walker has been ruled out, while Jayson Tatum makes his return after missing two weeks with COVID. D’Angelo Russell is not expected to play vs the Warriors, which I will discuss below, and the Timberwolves are still without Towns and Hernangomez. Let’s get right into it!
  • The MIN v GS game catches my eye today- it should be competitive, hopefully. The Warriors just lost some pretty brutal games, however I think that if this game does get out of hand it’ll be from the Warriors blowing out the Timberwolves. The Warriors will need to get their offense flowing again and their interior defense has just been straight awful. They’ve allowed so many easy layups and put-backs, and Coach Kerr said that the team needed to reevaluate things. This shouldn’t change the roles of their starters, however I do think he needs to just unleash them and play them heavier minutes and not go 12 players deep every game. Guys like Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre, and Draymond Green are all viable here and this matchup has plenty of upside for all formats. On the Timberwolves side, D’Angelo Russell is not expected to play tonight, which will open up minutes and usage for guys like Ricky Rubio, Anthony Edwards and Jarrett Culver. I like Rubio the most here. Towns is still out and Naz Reid is one of my favorite plays today as well on FanDuel especially.
  • The other game I love for all formats is the SA v NO game. This should be a fast paced game, and although the Spurs are on a b2b, I don’t expect Coach Pop to rest any of his players. I love Derozan, and Aldridge (FD). This is a nice spot for them, I’m afraid of Aldridge’s floor here but his price on FanDuel isn’t bad at all. Derozan thrives in these types of matchups. On the Pelicans side, I like Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson, and Steven Adams. Let’s talk about Ingram. He hasn’t done much peripherally at all as of late. I think this is a result of having the two ball handlers in the lineup and him having to fight for boards with Adams and Zion night in and night out. I think for him to have a huge game he needs to produce and score efficiently, and get some steals and blocks, because his peripherals have been non-existent, just getting a few boards and assists every night compared to his early season performances of 6+ assists and/or boards every night. Zion is a fantastic play every night and he has a safe floor. Adams is severely underpriced on FanDuel and he’s a terrific cash play.
  • Some notes about the Toronto injuries- Fred VanVleet, Norman Powell and OG Anunoby all get the biggest bumps if Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam sit. Expect heavy minutes and Stanley Johnson SHOULD start again if Pascal Siakam is out but I don’t like his usage. Cheap though.
    • Notes:
    • Ricky Rubio or Goran Dragic?
    • Paying up at PG… Luka/Curry/Dame…
    • Shai Gilgeous Alexander? I like the matchup
    • Jarrett Allen without Larry Nance... Could Cavs run two bigs?
    • Naz Reid is an ELITE pivot over Steven Adams for the same price
    • Draymond Green is way too cheap on FD
  • Guys who I will have exposure to today in no particular order, other than those in table above. (PLAYER POOL)

  • G. Dragic
  • D. Murray
  • B. Simmons
  • Lo. Ball
  • J. Brunson
  • D. Derozan
  • N. Powell
  • B. Ingram
  • E. Fournier
  • M. Beasley
  • K. Oubre
  • D. Sabonis
  • K. Porzingis
