Updates to come to this section as we approach lock, so continue to check back for more insight.

Hello everybody, and welcome back to another DFS Karma Game Theory article! Today there are a couple things to monitor regarding injuries and COVID-19 protocols, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. For injury news, please make sure to check our injury article here! This is a nicely sized slate, a bit of injury news to look for but we already have a lot released. Let’s dig into it, Check out my NBA First Impression Video to get more insight on the totals and injuries of the day.

  • Victor Oladipo is OUT- John Wall and Eric Gordon return to the lineup. These two are in a great spot here and they will be in play in all formats. I expect them to shoulder the load at the guard spots and of course without Oladipo, expect Eric Gordon to see more of that backup PG mintues as well when Wall is off the floor. DeMarcus Cousins should also get 25-30 minutes today vs his former team and I like him in all formats as well. GPP plays: JaeSean Tate and Danuel House.
  • Kevin Durant is OUT- Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Joe Harris, Jeff Green and one of Bruce Brown/Luwawu Cabbarot- whoever starts, should get a bump. Detroit is awful in basically all aspects but their interior defense is horrid. Kyrie and Harden are good in all formats, Harris and Green are not bad in all formats as well. I would say the 5th starter will be GPP only, whether that is Deandre Jordan, Brown or TLC.
  • Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon are OUT- This should open the door for Cole Anthony and Nikola Vucevic to be the main guys on the squad, I expect them to carry the load and put up the most shots on the team. I wonder what their ownership will look like today. They could be overlooked but they are definitely cheap.
  • Mike Conley is OUT- Joe Ingles received the start in his place and I expect the same today in a matchup vs the Boston Celtics. Ingles played pretty bad and was struggling from the field. I expect a solid bounceback game in which should be a solidified 25 minutes if not more. Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson also are playable in all formats, while Royce O’Neale is one of my favorite GPP plays of the day.
  • Goran Dragic is OUT- Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler, Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, and Bam Adebayo all get bumps here. They are all playable in any format but I would focus in on Herro/Nunn for GPPs, Robinson/Butler/Bam for CASH.
  • Lamarcus Aldridge and Derrick White are OUT- This should open up DeMar Derozan, DeJounte Murray (8 steals last game!) and Jakob Poeltl. Keep in mind it is a b2b, and Lonnie Walker is back for the Spurs. I’m interested to see what Popovich does with their minutes on a b2b but he hasn’t been as bad as he has been over the past what, decade? He’s been pretty consistent and hasn’t “popped” me this season, let’s hope I didn’t jinx it.
  • *Watch for Jaylen Brown news , if he’s out, Tatum and Kemba will get usage bumps but I don’t love the matchup here.
  • Guys who I will have exposure to today in no particular order, other than those in table above. (PLAYER POOL)

  • D. Murray
  • S. Curry
  • L. Ball
  • J. Clarkson
  • D. Mitchell
  • E. Gordon
  • T. Herro
  • D. House
  • D. Fox
  • J. Embiid
  • T. Haliburton
  • D. Derozan
