Thoughts:

Updates to come to this section as we approach lock so continue to check back for more insight.

  • Welcome to the NBA Playoffs! The approach here is a bit different as any game is worthy of a game stack technically, just cause the slate sizes allow any game that goes to OT (or more) can easily be the highest scoring game of the night & break the slate. It’s easier to make up with larger slates but when playoffs have limited options and value, any of these outliers can break the slate.
  • I’m starting my cash games with Anthony Davis. The Lakers have finally found out how to attack the Blazers on the offensive end, and it all starts with Anthony Davis. When the Blazers run the two center lineup, the Lakers like to force the issue and attack and have the shooters on the wings. One big is always slow to rotate and Whiteside has seen himself in foul trouble in each game because of his late rotations. Nurkic has been gassed and it seems as if the Lakers are using Dwight to outwork Nurkic early and get him winded. Anthony Davis has produced some big games and has by far the best matchup on the board.
  • Another stud I like is James Harden. Although Dort has been handling Harden pretty well and limiting him to a poor shooting percentage, Harden will always get his. This is a crucial game here and I think that he should see heavy ownership once again. I’ve been fading him so far to get guys like Butler, SGA, and other value SGs such as Middleton/Schroder/Herro, but I might fit him in tomorrow.
  • I rank the studs as Davis, Giannis (GPP, low owned), Harden, LeBron, Lillard.
  • Some guys I have been playing over and over again on slates like this have been Eric Gordon, House, Schroder, Herro, Jeff Green, and Clark (if Gordon is out again).
  • Below are the players I would consider in your “pool” tonight when building 3-20 lineups. These will be in order of my exposure %.  This is 100% the approach everyone reading this article should be taking tonight.  There are plenty of 3-max, 5-max, 20-max contests to enter.
  • The players I’m using in my “pool” tonight (outside of locking Brogdon, Gordon, Davis)
      • J. Butler
      • G. Dragic
      • G. Antetokounmpo
      • J. Harden
      • L. James
      • D. House
      • J. Green
      • E. Bledsoe
      • S. Gilgeous-Alexander
      • D. Schroder
      • T. Herro
      • K. Middleton
      • G. Clark
      • M. Turner
      • T. Warren
      • H. Whiteside
      • D. Gallinari
      • We’re still waiting on a few pieces of information, so keep your eyes peeled.
    • Remember to try to add as much correlation to your lineups as possible.  More games go to OT than you think in the NBA and mini-game stacks are an underutilized strategy in NBA DFS tournaments.  (Again, you can use the table above to identify the game-stacks I’ll be on).
