  • Hello all and welcome back for another DFS Karma Game Theory! Happy New Years, let’s make 2021 a good one filled with good health, positive vibes, good fortune and blessings. Now there is a lot of injury news but that is covered over at https://dfskarma.com/basketball/nba-injury-news-and-impact. There are 10 games today which means there will be more variance. The more games there are, the more spread out the owner percentages are for each player. Let’s dive right in.
  • This is my favorite slate of the year so far. I have my whole sense of direction and I know exactly where I’m going to be going in my lineups. Let’s start off with my locks, I’m going to be playing Raul Neto in almost all my lineups today. He is a little pricier compared to the last time we were able to play him, but Coach Scott Brooks loves him and he has played very well when given the minutes. He should start for Russell Westbrook and gets this matchup vs the Wolves who’ve looked just as lost as the Wizards. Neto and Beal will have a big role for this squad and I will even go to say I don’t mind playing three Wizards in cash with the likes of Thomas Bryant. These 3 Wizards are my favorite in all formats today, I don’t mind playing them all in one lineup but I think you definitely need Neto. Beal I can see being a fade with his price hitting nearly 10k on FanDuel where there are a ton of mid tier options who I will discuss later, but I still think Beal is a fantastic cash play.
  • The other spot I’m looking into for today is the Bucks/Bulls game. This should be a blowout on paper. However, if it stays close somehow, expect the players to pop off. Holiday, Middleton, Antetokounmpo are all in great spots and they can have slate breaking upside. If you run the Bucks, I think you have to look into Otto Porter and Thaddeus Young. One of them should get the start today with Lauri Markannen out and they are cheap enough where a blowout won’t effect them too much. I love both of them for 25+ minutes today with or without blowout. Giannis is the one that catches my eye the most- if this game stays close he will be the top scorer on the slate. But if it’s a blowout he can tank your lineups with his 35-40 at 11k+.
  • I think the Center position is where you make or break your lineup today. I have my core 4 centers, Nikola Jokic, Jonas Valanciunas, Jusuf Nurkic, and Thomas Bryant. I will be having a good amount of Jokic tonight and especially if I decide to not play Giannis I will be paying up at center for sure.
  • Another game to watch out for is this Atlanta Hawks v Brooklyn Nets rematch. They scored an insane amount of points last game and although I never expect the exact same outcomes, there was little to no price adjustments on FanDuel. Guys like Irving, Durant, Trae Young, Joe Harris, John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Kevin Huerter are all catching my eye. This could be a gnarly GPP game stack and all these guys are in position to have another high scoring, fast paced game. No Gallinari and Rondo for the Hawks so that’s a huge bump for Collins, Huerter and Bogdanovic.
  • For cash games, my core 3 will be Neto, Beal, and Porter Jr.
  • For tournaments, I like the build of Neto, D’Angelo Russell, and Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Now, I will go over my full player pool for today, below.
  • Guys who I will have exposure to today in no particular order [other than those in table above] (PLAYER POOL)

  • Desmond Bane
  • Trae Young
  • Damian Lillard
  • Kevin Huerter
  • DeAndre Hunter
  • Steph Curry
  • CJ McCollum
  • Jaylen Brown
  • Miles Bridges
  • Will Barton
  • Jamal Murray
  • Malik Beasley
  • Kevin Durant
  • Paul Millsap
