Golden State Warriors at Toronto Raptors -2

Tonight the Warriors are back in Toronto looking to even up the series and steal home court advantage. looking back at Game 1 the Warriors only had 2 players in Curry and Thompson score over 10 points, which can’t happen again if they are looking to steal this one on the road. Curry shot 8-18 from the field including 4-9 from 3 point range, he made his mark at the free throw line making 14-14 attempts on his way to scoring 34 points. Thompson scored 21 points on 8-17 shooting including 3-6 from deep range. The Warriors next leading scoring was Draymond Green who was 2-9 from the field scoring 10 points. The Warriors must get some help from their role players if they want to upset the Raptors and even up the series. Toronto shot 50% from the field as a team as they went on to win by 9 points. Kawhi Leonard had an off game shooting the ball only making 5 of 14 attempts, but was 10-12 from the free throw line on his way to scoring 23 points. Kawhi also added in 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Pascal Siakam lead the Raptors with 32 points on a very efficient shooting day, making 14-17 attempts also adding in 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The Raptors got help from their role players as well having 5 players score 10+ points. Gasol scored 20 points and added in 7 rebounds, VanFleet was 5/8 shooting for 15 points, and Danny Green had 11 points of 3/7 shooting from long range. The Warriors now have a lot of pressure on them and mostly their role players to show up. Steph and Klay will need to get them involed early to take some of the defensive pressure off of them. In Game 1 Toronto scored 24 points off of the fast break, this was due to Kawhi, Siakam, and Lowry sitting back and waiting for the outlet pass off of the Warriors missed 3 point shots so they could push the ball up court fast and space out the court to open up driving lanes, which lead to layups and open 3 point shots. Kawhi is a former Finals MVP and Danny Green has a lot of experience in big playoff games, so they shouldn’t be effected by all the praise they received from their game 1 win.  Toronto should be able to control the pace once again and be able to limit the Warriors on offense with them still missing Kevin Durant. Kawhi will bounce back after having one of his least productive games of the playoffs and lead the Raptors to a 2-0 series lead!
