Joey’s Monday Night Football Showdown Throwdown

Welcome back DFS Grinders to another edition of my Monday Night Football Showdown Throwdown Article. Tonight we a what could be another boring Night game as the Jets will be featured back up QB Trevor Siemian for the next couple weeks while Sam Darnold is out with Mono. I know we have a lot of Karma nation followers in Ohio so good luck tonight! I hope tonight’s game is better than last week.

Vegas Lines

The Browns are 6.5 point favorites on the road against the Jets with a 45 point game total.

MVP

Baker Mayfield: He is the obvious top choice. Projected the highest scorer on the slate with 20 points if you are looking for a safe option to get your Browns stack started, look no further. After a rough showing against Tennessee last week they will look to get off to a hot start on the road against a banged-up Jets Defense.

Odell Beckham: With Baker most likely getting a majority of the ownership, Odell is a great pivot off what is likely chalk MVP Baker. Baker will look to his favorite weapon even more tonight as Odell is fully healthy. He saw  targets last week after reports came out his hip wasn’t fully healthy and he couldn’t get the same seperation. Now fully healthy he should be able to tourch these CBs just like Brown did last week.

Nick Chubb: He was vultured last week but we could see some end of the game positive game script by the Browns as they are favorites to win the game. They gave up some big runs to Singletary last week as well as giving up a lot in the passing game. Chubbed ranked 4th in the league for break away yards (runs over 15 yards) after week 7 (Hyde trade) with 323 accounting for 40% of his yards. His ceiling is way too high to ignore and could easily break one loose here where Singletary saw 3 out of his 4 runs go for 15+. I love his over 83 rushing yards today on MKF.

I love going Odell at the MVP pot and Chubb at the star to go contrarian Baker fade of the chalk.

Mid Tier

Robby Anderson: To go along with the Crowder Fade Anderson should see a bump tonight. He saw 7 targetsand 4 catches but that doesn’t mean a ton with a new QB with new tendencies and DT being added to the other side.

FADE: Jamison Crowder, after posting a 17 target game and only 99 yards you would think I would be all over this play but unfortunately we are having a QB change in NY so it’s a completely different game style. Darnold loves throwing it across the middle in the slot but with Siemian it’s a little different. Over 60% of his passes are thrown to the outside WR while just under 20% go into the slot. This volume is unsustainable with Siemian as QB.

Cheap Tier

Demaryius Thomas: Thomas is new to the team but not new to Siemian where he played two years together as his number two target in Denver. Let’s see if they can pick up where they left off in Denver. He wasn’t able to practice with the team this week so he is a risky play with high upside if they try to shut down Anderson.

Damion Ratley; I like this play over the Ty Montgomery play at the same price. Montgomery only saw 5 snaps and 4 routes run so the opportunities just aren’t there like Ratley will have. He played 25 snaps last game and will see even more with Higgins out. H is way too cheap at only 1.8k on DK. He could easily pay off value. In a full PRR format like DK he only needs a couple catches to pay off and if he finds his way into the endzone with everyone focusing on OBJ and Landry even better.
