NFL DFS | DRAFTKINGS WEEK 1 PRIMER

TOP FIVE STACKS/CORRELATION

Patrick Mahomes $7700
JuJu Smith-Schuster $5200
Marquez Valdes-Scantling $4700
Marquise Brown $6200
(4 Players: $23,800 commitment)

The Chiefs/Cardinals game will feature its fair share of fireworks. Stacking Mahomes with JuJu and MVS will give you a lot of firepower at a bargain price.

Lamar Jackson $7300
Rashod Bateman $5300
Mark Andrews $6800
Elijah Moore $5100
(4 Players: $24,500 commitment)

We are rolling with the Ravens in all formats. I don’t see the Jets putting up much of a fight in the opener. Rashod Bateman and Elijah Moore are two of the best bargains at the WR position–too good to pass up.

Joe Burrow $6400
Ja’Marr Chase $7100
Tee Higgins $6100
Diontae Johnson $6000
(4 Players: $25,600 commitment)

The Bengals double stack with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins is significantly more cost-effective on DraftKings. Running it back with Diontae Johnson makes sense as he represents a value of $6000.

Trey Lance $6000
Deebo Samuel $7400
George Kittle $5900
Darnell Mooney $5700
(4 Players: $25,000 commitment)

If you expect the 49ers’ to find success through the air against the Chicago Bears’ defense, this is the stack for you. Trey Lance paired with Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle, offers a ton of upside. Combine that trio with the explosive Darnell Mooney in garbage time.

Derek Carr $5900
Darren Waller $5400
Keenan Allen $7000
Mike Williams $6600
(4 Players: $24,900 commitment)

QB: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

Joe Burrow- Bengals: $6400 vs. Steelers
Trey Lance- 49ers: $6000 at Bears
Lamar Jackson- Ravens: $7300 at Jets
Derek Carr- Raiders: $5900 at Chargers
Jalen Hurts- Eagles: $6800 at Lions
Kirk Cousins- Vikings: $6100 vs. Packers
Patrick Mahomes- Chiefs: $7700 at Cardinals
Justin Herbert- Chargers: $7600 vs. Raiders
Kyler Murray- Cardinals: $7200 vs. Chiefs
Justin Fields- Bears: $5600 vs. 49ers

Joe Burrow receives the top billing on the DraftKings slate for Week #1. Burrow appears to be a screaming buy at $6400 with some of the best weapons in the NFL. The Bears are not a cushy match-up, but $6000 is a bargain price for Trey Lance in the opener. Lamar Jackson is a bit more expensive but worth it. If there is one player that can blow up the slate, it is Lamar Jackson.

RB: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

D’Andre Swift- Lions: $6800 vs. Eagles
Najee Harris- Steelers: $6400 at Bengals
Saquon Barkley- Giants: $6100 at Titans
Aaron Jones- Packers: $6700 at Vikings
J.K. Dobbins- Ravens: $5600 at Jets
Travis Etienne- Jaguars: $5600 at Commanders
Miles Sanders- Eagles: $5400 at Lions
Elijah Mitchell- 49ers: $5400 at Bears
Alvin Kamara- Saints: $7600 at Falcons
Joe Mixon- Bengals: $7100 vs. Steelers

D’Andre Swift brings the skill set that gives the Philadelphia Eagles fits. I expect the Lions’ offense to utilize Swift in space, early and often. Najee Harris should be the featured back for the Steelers in this one. The Bengals were one of the worst teams in the league against the RB position. The Titans are a tough match-up, but how can you resist Saquon Barkley at $6100? Barkley appears back to form and is a bargain at his current price tag.

WR: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

JuJu Smith-Schuster- Chiefs: $5200 at Cardinals
Michael Pittman Jr.- Colts: $5500 at Texans
Rashod Bateman- Ravens: $5300 at Jets
Elijah Moore- Jets: $5100 vs. Ravens
Ja’Marr Chase- Bengals: $7100 vs. Steelers
Tee Higgins- Bengals: $6100 vs. Steelers
DJ Moore- Panthers: $6000 vs. Browns
Diontae Johnson- Steelers $6000 at Bengals
Marquez Valdes-Scantling- Chiefs: $4700 at Cardinals
Allen Lazard- Packers: $5600 at Vikings

JuJu Smith-Schuster is a shockingly low price at only $5200. The Chiefs’ offense will be as high-octane as ever. $5200 is a bargain for the Chiefs’ presumed #1 receiver. Michael Pittman Jr. is the #1 option in the Colts’ passing game, and in a match-up against a beatable Texans’ defense, fire up Pittman Jr. I am a fan of stacking the pass-receiving options in the Ravens/Jets opener. Rashod Bateman and Elijah Moore are both bargain options.

TE: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

Darren Waller- Raiders: $5400 at Chargers
Pat Freiermuth- Steelers: $4200 at Bengals
T.J. Hockenson- Lions: $4900 vs. Eagles
Hunter Henry- Patriots: $3800 at Dolphins
Brevin Jordan- Texans: $3100 vs. Colts

Darren Waller offers the best combination of high-upside and a bargain price as a featured option in the Raiders’ passing game. Pat Freiermuth has secured an every-down role for the Steelers. At $4200, he is a bargain. The Eagles were dead last in the league against the TE position a year ago. T.J. Hockenson can get his 2022 season off with a bang in the opener.

DEF: BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

49ers Defense: $4100 at Bears
Saints Defense: $3700 at Falcons
Ravens Defense: $4000 at Jets
Panthers Defense: $3400 vs. Browns
Commanders Defense: $2500 vs. Jaguars

The 49ers’ defense is going to destroy the Bears’ offensive line. Many sacks and turnovers will contribute to a monster fantasy performance from the 49ers’ defense. I don’t see the Falcons offense putting up much of a fight against a Saints defense that matches up well against them. The Ravens will control the entire game, and they will smell blood in the water against an overmatched Jets offense.
