NFL Jock MKT Play (Wild Card Weekend)

Welcome to our NFL Jock MKT Play for Wild Card Weekend. Below I’ll outline my favorite Jock MKT buys for this weekend.

What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 18 Results

Diontae Johnson

Highest Potential Bid: $6.34

Break-Even Point: 26

Johnson’s coming off of another bad week for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He posted 7 receptions for 51 yards on 10 targets. Overall, he posted 12.1 fantasy points, and he ended the slate being worth $2.66. Johnson only cost $4.88 in the IPO, and we’d have lost $2.22 per share at that price.

Wild Card Weekend Buy

Deebo Samuel

Highest Potential Bid: $8.00

Break-Even Point: 12

If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Samuel recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $8 per share for Samuel. He needs to finish 12th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.

For example, if I buy 1 share of Samuel at $8 and he finishes 12th in this field, I make my $8 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $17). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $7). It’s that simple.

Samuel’s enjoyed an elite season for the San Francisco 49ers. He’s posted 77 receptions for 1,405 yards and 6 touchdowns on 121 targets over 16 games. He added 365 yards and 8 touchdowns on 59 carries as well. Samuel’s scored double-digit fantasy points in each of his last 10 games as well. Over that span, he’s flashed 30+ fantasy point upside on multiple occasions.

Samuel gets a solid matchup against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. Dallas is allowing 238.2 passing yards per game and 6 adjusted yards per attempt this season. They’ve also given up 24 passing touchdowns with a 3.9% passing touchdown rate in 2021.

Most importantly, Dallas’ struggled with yards after the catch (YAC) throughout the season. They’ve allowed 2,048 air yards and 2,275 YAC over 17 games. They’ve given up the fourth-most YAC in the league this season. Overall, the Cowboys have allowed the 12th-most airYAC (4,323) in the league in 2021.

Samuel isn’t an elite air yards option, recording 1,029 air yards with an 8.6 aDOT. With that being said, he’s recorded the second-most YAC (772) in the NFL this season. He ranks only behind Cooper Kupp, and Samuel should be able to find success against Dallas’ defense this weekend.

He’s ranked ninth in Jock MKT’s pre-rank because of the small slate. He’s projected for 17.68 fantasy points as well. This is an ideal matchup for Samuel, and I’m expecting the San Francisco 49ers to feature their most explosive player. They may be forced to throw more than normal if they’re losing as well.
