PGA Top DFS Plays: The Masters

It’s finally here – Christmas for my Top DFS Plays!

The Masters returns to Augusta as we see the competing PGA Tour and LIV Tour top players combine for one week. The winner takes home the first major of the season and the cool $3.24 million champion prize.

Augusta National (par 72, 7,464 yards) is a true test for every club in a golfer’s bag. The Masters has proven that course history plays a big role for the winner. Fuzzy Zoeller was the last time a Masters rookie to win the event in 1979.

Jon Rahm is the defending champion.

Onto my Top DFS Plays for the Masters:

10K & Above

Scottie Scheffler ($12,100)

Scheffler is the highest priced golfer this week as he may be still too cheap.

He is expected to be the highest rostered golfer this week, according to our PGA Projections Portal (included with your monthly membership).

Scheffler is No. 1 in four key categories this week: SG: tee to green, SG: approach, greens in regulation and par-5 scoring.

Jon Rahm ($11,200) and Wyndham Clark ($10,000) earned spots in the Top 10 on my spreadsheet this week.

9K & Above

Xander Schauffele ($9,900)

Schauffele stock has risen all week.

Last week you could find some 20-1 odds to win for Schauffele, but his odds have slowly climbed to 14-1 at the time of this writing.

However, I will be one of those betting him to win and playing him in DFS.

He is ranked No. 2 on my spreadsheet this week as he is Top 20 on Tour in 7 statistical categories I used.

8K & Above

Shane Lowry ($8,000)

Lowry has played some solid golf during his last four events, and he has four Top 30 finishes, including two Top 5s during the Florida Swing.

He ranks in the Top 35 on Tour in five statistical categories, putting him in a good spot for one of my Top DFS Plays.

Plus, he has good course history at Augusta, finishing T25 or better the last four years.

7K & Above

Akshay Bhatia ($7,200)

I think this price range is going to determine big winners in DFS this weekend.

There are so many good options in this price range, and Bhatia leads the way.

Bhatia is one of the best ball strikers on Tour this season (9th SG: tee to green and 12th SG: approach). But it’s his all-around game could put him in position for a solid run despite his first playing at Augusta.

Take a caution though as he dislocated his shoulder making a birdie to force the playoff at the Valero Texas Open.

Punt Plays

Lucas Glover ($6,300) highlights my Punt Plays, and he has the right salary to plug him into lineups with the 10K golfers. Chris Kirk ($6,900) and Austin Eckroat ($6,300) each earned spots in my Top 25 this week.
