NHL Value Vault 11/19/19

Hey there Karma Nation,

Huge slate to explore tonight with 26 teams in action. There are many avenues to take when choosing who to pay up for, so let’s help you find some cheaper skaters to help your lineups cash. And always remember to check back right here to your favorite value source to maximize your lineup potential.

-Insights and player picks for tonight’s 13 game schedule-

  1. Teams with greatest chance to win: NSH, BOS, VGK
  2. Highest projected totals: PHI@FLA, WPG@NSH, TOR@VGK
  3. Lowest projected totals: VAN@DAL, MIN@BUF, NYI@PIT

Offense:

  • Connor Brown OTT ($3800-DK, $4300-FD) has been getting 20 minutes or more on a consistent basis due to 1st scoring line and 2nd power play work for the Sens. Brown has averaged double digit fantasy points on FD and gets a plus match up against Detroit’s bottom-third defense against wingers.
  • **Danton Heinen BOS ($3700-DK, $4300-FD) & Charlie Coyle BOS ($3700-DK, $4500-FD) Am going 2 for 1 here. Love that these two have been playing well together while sharing 3rd scoring line duties. BOS 1 will not carry the team every night, and New Jersey has had their struggles defensively. Stacking these two gives you exposure to both Bruin power play units, and will differentiate your lineup for all those who roster BOS 1 or 2.
  • Dominik Kubalik CHI ($3500-both sites) has tallied six points while taking 20 shots in his last 10 games. The Blackhawks have been getting good scoring from their third line, and Kubalik also sees time on the 2nd PP unit. I can see him hitting the score sheet at home against the Canes’ mid-pack defense.

Others to consider: Sam Gagner EDM ($2500-DK, $3000-FD)                                               Jordan Weal MON ($2500-DK, $3200-FD)

Defense:

  • Vince Dunn STL ($3200-DK, $3900-FD) skates on the Blues second power play unit, and is coming off his best game of the season with a goal on five shots versus Anaheim three days ago.
  • Urho Vaakanainen ($2500-DK, $3500-FD) is a min-priced punt, but he does see time on the Bruin’s second power play unit. Using him can really help you pay up for a stud defenseman or winger to fill your utility spot.

Also consider: Roman Polak DAL ($2700-DK, $3500-FD)

Goaltenders:

  • Robin Lehner CHI ($7700-DK, $7600-FD) has been sharp this season with a .936 save%, and has won three of his last four starts. Chicago has given up the 7th fewest goals to its opposition, and Carolina is averaging over a goal less on the road so far.
  • Linus Ullmark BUF ($7500-FD only) has given up three goals or less in every home start this season. Going into this game, the Sabres have given up the eighth fewest goals, and have a great match up with Minnesota who struggles to score, ranking 27th in the NHL.

Enjoy all the pucks, and best of luck cashing your lineups!
