Hello everyone and welcome to another Double Up bankroll builder day on StableDuel. Yesterday, Caleb crafted a core that managed to put us in a good position to double up. Today, I’m hoping to follow in his footsteps with a core play and some analysis below that will help us go 2 for 2 in double-ups.

If you need a refresher on scoring, please refer back to our debut article that goes a little more in-depth, located here.

High Price Favorites

Tetrahydro $8,000 – Race 1
Take it for what it’s worth, but maiden races are tricky no matter what anyone tells you. Some horses are okay never being a bride and will settle as a bridesmaid. Getting a horse to have that killer instinct to lead the group is tough. I think Tetrahydro is ready. In her last race, she showed she wants to win and was beat while she was going all out. If she brings that performance again today, she’ll have her first win as this group seems worse than her previous race.

Mid Price Plays

Irish Spirit $6500 – Race 9
In probably the toughest race of the day, I can make a case for about 5 horses. If you check out the core play page, you’ll see I included a different horse from this race for value reasons and Caleb has a higher-priced horse from this race. I think this race is wide open, but this horse is ever-improving. Lots of excuses including bad starts and bumping but this horse has found his way into the StableDuel money all but once.

Value Plays

Postulation $500 – Race 8
I don’t have a strong opinion on this horse but I do like the odds of this horse finding maybe 4th or 5th place in this Stakes race. This horse should be on the lead playing catch me if you can before having the heavy hitters pass him. I think for $500, this is one of the most logical plays under $1000 and likely will be the chalk play.
