Ricky’s StableDuel Strategy – 10/6/20

View our StableDuel Core Plays for today’s track for FREE by clicking HERE!

With only one track listed for StableDuel, we will virtually visit Bensalem, PA, and play the $10 Parx contest. Parx can be tricky, and more times than not the favorites are not the winners. If you take a look at the core, we have used a horse today that was actually in a core last week in race 9. Sometimes these little known trainers will race horses back-to-back weeks and forgo the workouts. So, navigating the track to find the mid-price value and understanding how these trainers operate is key to unlocking a top 10 finish on StableDuel.

If you need a refresher on scoring, please refer back to our debut article that goes a little more in-depth, located here.

High Price Favorites

Marnesia Big Girl $8,000 – Race 6
This is possibly the highest-priced horse I considered using today. She is 7 years old and heavily raced, but she likes this distance and is the class of the field. Her biggest competition is the 4, which is shipping in from Monmouth at 0/9 2020 campaign. I’ll take the slight discount on Marnesia in this race.

Mid Price Plays

Be Present $6,500 – Race 10
If you looked at the core provided for today, you’ll see that I actually like another horse in this race. However, I do think that this horse could be either an alternative or an addition to my top choice. Whenever a horse is purchased for $400,000.00, people notice. That’s the case we have here with Be Present. A dueled third place last time out against similar, this horse suggests it should be in the money.

Value Plays

Owin I Am $1,000 – Race 8
With a lack of true high priced favorites, I didn’t have to reach too much lower than $1,000 today. I think Owin I Am is a strong candidate to at least hit the board if not an outright win. The horse is perfect at this distance, and I think leaving this horse off your stable would be a mistake.
