MLB DFS 7/24/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

What a wonderful Sunday! I’m actully going to the Boston/Toronto game so wish me luck! Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 7/24/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. We have already found a lot of success to start the year off and there is plenty more to come! A big KARMA takedown is imminent and only a matter of time. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here. You can also try out the Core Plays package with a $5 day pass. Let’s get to the plays…

Pitcher

There are a couple of guys that really peak my interest today. Shane Bieber is the first one. So far this year, he has picked a part this White Sox team. He owns a 30% strikeout rate against them to go along with an xwOBA of .275. Now we can add in that Chicago has been pretty mediocre for the majority of the year. More than half their team strike outover 20% of the time and the majority of them don’t walk often.  This seems to be the best matchup for a top ter pitcher on the slate. Easy SP1 or your only pitcher on FD. The second guy that peaks my interest in Sandy Alcantara. He has been pretty inconsistent this year from a fantasy point perspective. He is still an elite pitcher and when he is pitching well, it is usually extremely well! He gets a solid matchup against the Pirates who hae just been atrocious this year. Against their currennt roster he owns a 26% strikeout rate which is actually hgiher than his yearly average. Sandy has massive upside as we have seen him strikeout double digit batters multiple times this year. If you’re looking to save here, Sonny Gray is your man. Gets an elite matchup against detroit and he owns a 38% strikeout rate against their current roster. Be careful here though, Detroit is very hitter friendly eve with winds blowing east to west 15 mph.

Ronald Acuna Jr

Believe it or not, he is actually cheaper than Riley! Reid Detmers hasn’t exactly been bad for the Angels. He does tend to have a blow up game every now and then. Atlanta has one of those offenses that will either put up double digit runs or nearly goose egg. Acuna loves hitting fastballs and curves which are Reid’s favorite pitches to throw. It is going to be humid and around 90 degrees in Atlanta today making it ideal hitting weather. This is a good spot for him and I don’t think a double dong is too crazy too think about.

Teoscar Hernandez

We watched this team put up 28 runs the other day and I think there is more in the tank. Brayan Bello is one of Boston’s top prospects. That being said, the MLB hasn’t been great to him to start his career. Hernandez has been on fire since the ASB. Logging four hits and one homerun in a two game span. This is another favorable matchup in a hitter friendly stadium. Boston’s bullpen doesn’t scare me one bit either one Bello is pulled. As with most of Toronto, he makes hard contact at a extremely high ate. He surpasses the 50% mark along with a couple others. The rest are all neatly at 40% or above. I expect another big from Taco and the rest of the team. Though, it won’t be much of a secret. He is a great building block here and should have a solid performance.

Bold Call

ACUNA DOULBE DONG!
