Over Under 2/2 – New Orleans Pelicans/Toronto Raptors

If you read my PrizePicks article, you know how I feel about Derrick Favors. He was gifted a large contract from the New Orleans Pelicans, and he’ll take over as their starting center. He could also find minutes at power forward with Zion Williamson injured. Favors will see an uptick in pace with New Orleans after playing last season with the Utah Jazz. Even with the slower pace, he averaged 1.2 fantasy points per minute last season. Favors could see 30+ minutes per game early in the season, as he rarely struggles with fouls, and this total is entirely too low for his new role with a new team.

OG Anunoby Jr. is the riskier option in this play. He only saw a 15.5% usage rating last season, averaging 12.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.5 turnovers on a per-36 minute basis. The Toronto Raptors lost Kawhi Leonard in free agency, and they weren’t able to replace him. While Anunoby isn’t going to take over the offense, he should see more opportunities in the offense in 2019. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Patrick McCaw are questionable for this game, and Anunoby has the potential to see an uptick in minutes after being a first round pick only two years ago. He’s far from an elite option, but he’ll benefit from the pace of this game, and sees a boost in value because of his steal potential.

Play 1 unit on Derrick Favors OVER 27.5 fantasy points and OG Anunoby Jr. OVER 20.5 fantasy points to win 3 units (3x)
