Joey’s Prizepicks Palooza Tuesday 10/22

Welcome back DFS grinders! I’m excited to announce that NBA SZN is back baby and with that comes my daily Prop articles. Let me just start off by saying welcome welcome if you are new to the article and Karma. If you are a Showdown Throwdown reader or you are coming back from last year I thank you for the continued support it means a lot to me.

We have early season NBA so always start slow with your Bankroll don’t go all-in on the first week because rotations aren’t always known with every team. You can compare it to preseason and coach talk but it doesn’t always translate until we know for certain. If you play $100 per prop I would tone it down to $50 just for the first week. That being said let’s get right into it.

Vegas Lines

The Toronto Raptors are 7 point favorites at home against the New Orleans Pelicans with a 229 game total.

The LA Clippers are 3.5 point underdogs at “Home” against the LA Lakers with a 223 game total.

Favorite Play

Kyle Lowry UNDER 35.9 fantasy points: You may think; “Joey Kawhi is gone, this should open up usage for Lowry”. While that is correct Lowry ends up seeing Lonzo Ball defense. This should scare you off him. Zo locked down the league’s best scorers leaving them with opponents FG% of 43% which ranks 1st among starting guards that allow 11 or more FGAs per game (22 eligible) and allowing jus 11.9 PPG. Now I know fantasy points aren’t all scoring but this will lower his chances at a ceiling game dropping well below the 36 point mark he needs to go over. (You can play his under for points as well on MKF)

Favorite Pairing

Anthony Davis OVER 57 fantasy points: There’s no reason to think Davis won’t go right back to being a dominant big in the league after the trade to LAL. He finished last year being limited and still putting up 35+ fantasy performances while seeing close to 20 minutes a game. 57 points should be easy, going up against a Clippers team who loves to play up pace (More possessions=more fantasy points). While Lebron is out there dealing with Kawhi, AD should be dominating both sides of the ball. Lebron has been moved to the point guard spot and with him handling the ball up top he will look to get in pick and roll situations as well as looking for AD down in the post when matched up with Green. The Clippers were bottom half in the league in rebounding % and saw a league-worst rebounding percentage during the preseason and that was the same for the first half where the starters played. Davis should have no problem reaching this point, oh and add his high B/S ceiling while you are at it.
