Over Under 2/2 – Orlando Magic/Utah Jazz
Donovan Mitchell has been playing well recently, averaging 26.5 points in 34.6 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has scored 26+ points in 4 of his last 5 games. With that being said, Mitchell played each of those five games without Mike Conley in the lineup. The former scored 20 points or less in 4 of his 5 games prior to Conley’s absence. Mitchell gets a difficult matchup against the Orlando Magic, who play at one of the slowest paces in the NBA. They have also found plenty of defensive success with Nikola Vucevic in the lineup. He recently returned from injury, and Mitchell could struggle with volume and efficiency in this game.
This is a bad matchup for Evan Fournier, but this total is absurdly low. Fournier is averaging 21.0 points in 29.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has also scored 18+ points in 9 of his last 10 games. While he will lose some of his offensive opportunities, this total is still far too low for how well Fournier has been scoring recently. He will likely see shots in the teens tonight, while potentially taking double-digit three-point attempts. Fournier certainly comes with risk because of the defensive and slow paced matchup, but he has proven to be an outstanding scorer for Orlando this season.
