Bales’ Bananas – Monkey Knife Fight NBA Prop Picks 2/21

Welcome to Bales’ Bananas – Monkey Knife Fight NBA Prop Picks 2/21! Below I will discuss my NBA favorite plays for tonight’s slate!

More or Less 2/2 – Boston Celtics/Minnesota Wolves

Gordon Hayward makes an interesting option for the Boston Celtics. He has posted 7+ rebounds in 9 of his last 10 games. He also recorded the 8+ rebounds necessary for this over in 7 of those 10 games, including each of his last 3 contests. Hayward gets a great matchup against the Minnesota Wolves, who rank seventh in the NBA in pace. The Wolves will be without five of their best six rebounding options because of trades and injuries. Their best healthy rebounding option, Naz Reid, isn’t expected to play more than 20-25 minutes. Hayward is a solid rebounding option for Boston, and he’ll be locked into minutes in the mid- to high-30s tonight with Kemba Walker out. He has neared this number on a nightly basis prior to the All Star Break, while exceeding it more often than not. Hayward will see a small boost because of this matchup, as well.

Malik Beasley has looked outstanding since joining Minnesota. Through 3 games, he’s averaging 22.0 points on 18.7 shot attempts, 11.0 three-point attempts, and 1.7 free throw attempts in 32.7 minutes per game. Beasley posted 15+ points in each of those 3 games, including games with 28 and 23 points. Most importantly, Beasley saw 25 shot attempts in his last game without Karl-Anthony Towns. While he may not see that large of an offensive role tonight, he could still see around 20 shot attempts. He’s a player that isn’t shy about taking threes throughout the game, and this total doesn’t represent his role in the offense with Towns injured.

Play 1 unit on Gordon Hayward OVER 7.5 rebounds  and Malik Beasley OVER 16.5 points to win 3 units (3x)
