Bales’ Bananas – Monkey Knife Fight NBA Prop Picks 3/4/19

Over Under 2/2 – Los Angeles Clippers/Los Angeles Lakers

Brandon Ingram has taken on a new role in the offense since the All Star Break. Since then, he’s averaging 27.8 points on 17.8 shot attempts, 2.8 three-point attempts, and 8.0 free throw attempts. He has scored 23+ points in each of those games, including a pair of 30+ point games. Ingram is playing minutes in the high-30s, and this is an elite matchup for him. This game features the highest implied total on the slate at 235 points, and Ingram will continue to be an elite option in the Los Angeles Lakers offense. Patrick Beverley comes with significantly more risk than Ingram, but the over also makes sense for his prop. As mentioned above, this game is expected to feature plenty of scoring, giving Beverley opportunities for assets. He has been locked into big minutes, and while he has struggled to produce assists at times, Los Angeles is allowing 8.2 assists per game to opposing point guards this season. He has recorded five or more assists in two of his last four games, and he’s expected to play 30+ minutes tonight. Beverley comes with some risk, but this is a great spot for him to find assists in the Los Angeles Clippers offense.

Play $50 on Brandon Ingram OVER 20.5 points and Patrick Beverley OVER 4.5 assists to win $118.50 (2.37x)

Over Under 2/2 – New York Knicks/Sacramento Kings

Buddy Hield has been somewhat of an up and down scorer at times this season. He’s averaging 24.0 points on 19.9 shot attempts, 7.9 three-point attempts, and 5.3 free throw attempts per game over his last eight games. With that being said, he has only scored 21+ points in five of those eight games. He also owns a pair of games with 30+ points over that span. Hield is a major part of the Sacramento Kings offense, and he’ll continue to see plenty of shot attempts tonight. He gets an elite matchup against the New York Knicks, who have struggled defensively. They simply don’t have anyone that will be able to guard Hield, and he should be locked into 21+ points tonight. The Knicks rotation is nearly impossible to predict, but Noah Vonleh seems to be close to a lock for the under. He’s averaging only 19.1 minutes per game over his last 12 games, and he isn’t expected to see a major uptick in minutes tonight. He has recorded 10 and 12 rebounds in his last two games, playing 22 and 27 minutes in those games. Prior to that, he has recorded fewer than six rebounds in 10 consecutive games. In those 10 games, he’s averaging only 3.9 rebounds per game. The matchup is nearly perfect for Vonleh, but he simply won’t see the playing time to record nine or more rebounds.

Play $50 on Buddy Hield OVER 20.5 points and Noah Vonleh UNDER 8.5 rebounds to win $120 (2.4x)

Over Under 2/2 – Atlanta Hawks/Miami Heat

Trae Young is in the running for Rookie of the Year, and he has caught fire recently. Over his last six games, Young is averaging 32.0 points on 20.7 shot attempts, 8.5 three-point attempts, and 8.3 free-throw attempts per game. He only scored 18 points in his last game, but he was ejected only 18 minutes in the game. Young could be looking to make a statement after his ejection for virtually nothing in his last game. The Miami Heat own a solid defense, but Young has found ways to score against the majority of teams. He’s averaging 20.0 points in 31 minutes per game against Miami this season, and Young now is playing a larger role in the offense. Similarly to the plays above, Wade is less predictable than the scorer in this play. Wade is only averaging 3.4 assists in 25.7 minutes per game over his last eight games. He has recorded less than five assists in six of those eight games, as well. Wade has three matchups against the Atlanta Hawks this season, and he posted three assists in each of those games. He has a bit of leeway in this total, and while the matchup is plus, the numbers suggest the under is much more likely than the over.

Play $50 on Trae Young OVER 21.5 points and Dwyane Wade UNDER 4.5 assists to win $119.50 (2.39x)
