Welcome to Bales’ Bananas – Monkey Knife Fight NBA Prop Picks 3/9! Below I will discuss my NBA favorite plays for tonight’s slate!
More or Less 2/2 – Milwaukee Bucks/Denver Nuggets
Khris Middleton takes over as the focal point of the offense when Giannis Antetokounmpo is off the court. He scored 39 points on 26 shot attempts, 10 three-point attempts, and 11 free throw attempts in his last game without Antetokounmpo. He also saw his usage rating increase to over 40% in that contest. That should be the case once again tonight, as Antetokounmpo has already been ruled out. Middleton gets a tough matchup against the Denver Nuggets, who rank only 29th in the NBA in pace and 14th in defensive rating. In their only matchup, Middleton needed only 11 shot attempts to post 24 points. He’ll see 20+ shot attempts tonight, and this total doesn’t represent him as the focal point of the offense.
Nikola Jokic has seen mixed results in terms of scoring throughout the season. He’s averaging 16.4 points on 12.0 shot attempts, 1.6 three-point attempts, and 4.0 free throw attempts over the last 10 days. He posted 22 or fewer points in 7 of his last 10 games. Jokic gets a difficult matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. They lead the league in pace and defensive rating. Milwaukee is also allowing the second fewest points per game (19.3) to opposing centers this season. In their only matchup, Jokic posted 15 points on 17 shot attempts. This total is oddly high for his recent production and matchup, making the under an easy play.
Play 1 unit on Khris Middleton OVER 25.5 points and Nikola Jokic UNDER 22.5 points to win 3 units (3x)
