Thoughts:

Updates to come to this section as we approach lock so continue to check back for more insight.

  • We have a fairly small slate tonight with 6 games on the schedule with some clear spots we are just going to cross off.  Outside of Julius Randle, you can’t touch anyone on the Knicks making that game overall one of my least favorite on the slate.  The only player to take into serious consideration in single entry builds IMO is LeBron James, who projects as a top two value at both the guard and forward position on Draftkings.  Blowout risk is here but maybe it reduces his current 50% projected ownership.
  • Center is absolutely loaded today and this is one of those slates where plugging in 4 PF/C eligible player at PF, Center, Forward, and UTIL gives you an extremely unique lineup while extremely +EV due to the projected values I’m seeing.
  • Christian Wood and Andre Drummond both project as top 5 values at the position but remember that their ceiling’s are negatively correlated meaning you’ll want max of one of these players in your lineup if MME’ing or hand-building.
  • The top play at the position is actually Steven Adams, who based off ownership projections is not going to be the top owned player at the position, creating some leverage potential if you want to be over-exposed.  Adams gets a juicy matchup against a reeling Nets team that has been historically bad against bigs.
  • When looking at the guard position I am keeping my player pool pretty small considering I won’t be using many guards in my UTIL spot..
    • Kyle Lowry and Andrew Wiggins are in a tier of their own
    • Derrick Rose
    • Buddy Hield
    • Damian Lillard
    • Chris Paul
    • Spencer Dinwiddie
    • Ricky Rubio
    • Ja Morant
    • DeAnthony Melton
  • Obviously it is important to stay up to date on what value opens up closer to lock and weigh extreme value decisions (due to rest/injury).
