NBA Betting 10/26/18 – Bales’ MyBookie Bets

Milwaukee Bucks (N/A)

The Milwaukee Bucks are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, but they aren’t seen as that yet. Early this season, they feature the third best net offensive and defensive rating in the NBA at 10.0. They also rank seventh in the NBA in offensive rating and sixth in the league in defensive rating. They feature three wins against potential playoff teams – Hornets, Pacers, and Sixers – while also defeating the Knicks. The Minnesota Timberwolves haven’t had the same success as the Bucks, posting a 2-3 record through five games. They have found plenty of offensive success this season, but rank only 22nd in the NBA in defensive rating. They also feature a net offensive and defensive rating of only 0.4 thus far. While I do believe Minnesota will find more success throughout the season, I don’t believe it will be in this game. If MyBookie releases a moneyline for this game, I might also double down on Milwaukee, similar to what I did with the Portland Blazers last night.

Bet 3 units on the Milwaukee -1.5 spread to win 2.7 units (-110)

Brooklyn Nets (+425)/New Orleans Pelicans (-550)

I’d like to reiterate that these lines are getting so high that’s it’s somewhat difficult to comfortable bet on them. I lowered the units to two, but I feel this is one that we can still attack. The New Orleans Pelicans rank second in the NBA in pace and first in offensive rating. The Brooklyn Nets have been slowing the pace down in their games, but they will be forced to score or get blown out early in this game. These two teams are combining to average 239 points per game, while Brooklyn has been playing in slower paced games. The only concern here is a blowout and seeing backups, but Brooklyn is a young team who play their starters throughout. They’re also a team that struggles against big men, meaning Anthony Davis and Nikola Mirotic will play a big part in this game reaching it’s over.

Bet 2 units on the Brooklyn/New Orleans OVER 233 to win 1.8 units (-110)

Washington Wizards (-200)

The Washington Wizards are quietly in a good spot tonight. They feature one of the worst net offensive and defensive ratings in the NBA, but that’s exclusively because of a bad loss to the Golden State Warriors. They have been in three close contests, losing to the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors, while defeating the Portland Blazers. They’ll get an easier matchup tonight against the Sacramento Kings, who are a young, rebuilding team. Washington has played two games on the West Coast, and they should be fully adapted to the time change at this point. While the Wizards start to the season isn’t anything to write home about, they have featured arguably the most difficult first four game stretch in the NBA. A “cupcake” matchup against the Kings could help turn their season around early on.

Bet 3 units on the Washington -5 spread to win 2.7 units (-110)

Parlay Bet

Parlay 2 units on Golden State -13 spread, New Orleans -10 spread, and Washington ML to win 8.9 units (+447)
