NBA DFS 1/19/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Thursday…

Players Listed As Questionable

We have a small four game slate available to us on Thursday night, with only a few key injuries to watch. In true NBA fashion, more news can open up at anytime and I’ll be available to break them down or answer any questions in Discord. You can join the Discord for free here.

The DFS prices used below are for the daily main slate on OwnersBox Fantasy. If you’ve never checked out OwnersBox Fantasy — CLICK HERE and use Promo Code KARMA for a 100% deposit match up to $500 along with a free $10 DFS contest entry.

Rudy Gobert ($6,200)

Gobert missed last nights game, which resulted in massive ownership on Naz Reid. Obviously things get trickier with it being a back-to-back, and it could be the case that they were holding him out so that he is good to go for tonight. That being said, should he miss tonight’s game — Naz Reid would once again be the top point per dollar play on the slate at only $4,100. Luka Garza would also get a boost at the minimum-price of $3,000 — and he could end up logging extra minutes due to the B2B.

Jaylen Brown ($6,400)

Brown has been sidelined over a week for the Celtics, and draws the questionable tag tonight. He went through shootaround today, so for now I’m going to assume him as in. If he plays, he’s certainly in play with Boston drawing a huge 122 implied team total. If he’s out, Jayson Tatum ($7,500) will continue to be a top play while Marcus Smart ($5,200) will be a top mid-tier option.

Chris Paul ($6,100)

Paul has been out for a while for the Suns, but draws the Q tag on Thursday. Devin Booker is still out, so when Paul misses also it opens up a ton of backcourt minutes and usage to be spread across the starting lineup. Landry Shamet has been filling in for him a ton, but he is also out tonight. Phoenix will be really thin in the backcourt — making Damion Lee ($4,000), Saben Lee ($3,300) and Duane Washington ($3,300) all top value options.
