NBA DFS 12/03/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Spike’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Jordan Poole

Klay Thompson was just ruled out as we expected him to be. Jordan should benefit greatly from his absense. Expect him to slot into the starting lineup tonight. With a matchup against the Rockets, Poole should find a lot of room and error to score. He is averaging over 1.2 FPPM this year currently and he is not afraid to take a ton of shots. Houston ranks in the bottom five defensively this year and he should be highly owned for good reason!

Moritz Wagner

Orlando is hurting with big men tonight. Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr have been ruled out again along iwth Okeke and Isaac. This leaves two potential centers in Bol Bol and Wagner. Moritz should start and see 30+ minutes regardless of outcome of the game. It also helps that he is power forward and center eligible. With a small slate you should absolutely get weird in your builds but a guy like Wagner is a must across all formats. Value is somehwat scarce today.

Value Plays

Trendan Watford

Josh Hart is doubtful and I highly expect him to miss this game. Watford should slide into the starting five again where he posted a double-double the other night. Utah has been very poor against big men and will have their hands full with Nurkic. This should leave Trendan to pick up a lot of the small work under the rim and in the paint. Coming in under 4k makes him extremely hard to fade on a small slate. Lock him in and move on with your lineup configuration.

Kyle Anderson

KAT is once again not available tonight which should result in Kyle “slow-mo” Anderson starting. The other night he played 39 minutes which is crazy and I wouldn’t expect thst same amount of time. That being said, I think 30-34 minutes is very likely with a price tag under 4.5k makes it very hard to ignore. Anderson can alson contribute in most categories of the game which just adds to his DFS abilities.

The great thing about OwnersBox is the super-flex format and it allows for some really unique builds without having to force certain positions into your lineups.

Lauri Markkanen

I don’t see him projecting for much ownership but so far this year he has been red hot! Lauri has been shooting extrmely well from all over and is rebounding at a very high rate. Across all sites his projections land around 37-40 FP’s. What they don’t say is he has upside for about 60 FP which is great upside for a single digit ownership projection. This is my sleep pick and I really think he can out up 35 real life points here and even add ten rebounds as well.
