NBA DFS 12/5/22 – Ben’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Ben’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Pascal Siakam

Siakam is in full breakout mode for the Raps this season, topping 40+ DK points in each of his last four games including 58 his last time out. He leads the team in usage rate at 29% and has a strong match-up tonight with Al Horford out for the Boston Celtics. Horford does a lot defensively for the Celtics, so his absence is really key here for the Raptors offensively. Despite being priced over $9,000 — Siakam grades out as a top-ten value on this slate and there will be plenty of value to stuff him in on Monday night.

Dillon Brooks

Memphis are the clear targets on this slate, with Ja Morant and Desmond Bane both out. Both Jaren Jackson and Steven Adams are questionable as well, so there could be a situation where we are playing 3-4 Grizzlies in our cash game lineups. Brooks is averaging over 40 fantasy points per game without Morant in the lineup, and is priced as if Morant is playing. He should take on a more aggressive offensive role without him and if he is getting to the basket it could be a very big night at his price tag.

Value Plays

Tyus Jones

Jones is way too cheap on all sites, and will be the highest-owned player in all formats. We’ve seen Jones step in for Morant a number of times over the last few seasons, and it’s hard for me to see him hurting you at this price tonight. Morant has missed three games this season resulting in over 30 fantasy points per game for Jones. He will be in the starting lineup tonight, and I’ll be playing him at high-ownership even in GPPs.

TJ McConnell

McConnell is listed questionable to play tonight, but would be a virtual lock if in and starting with Tyrese Haliburton out for Indiana. The unfortunate news is that this game is the last on the slate tipping off at 10PM — so we may not get this news prior to lock. Andrew Nembhard played almost 40 minutes for the Pacers last night without both Haliburton and McConnell — and he is in play regardless even if McConnell suits up. I would be planning on playing multiple cheap Pacers in cash games, but we will need to monitor the news even post-lock if plugging in McConnell.

OwnersBox Play

If you’ve never checked out OwnersBox Fantasy — CLICK HERE and use Promo Code KARMA for a 100% deposit match up to $500 along with a free $10 DFS contest entry. The great thing about OwnersBox is the super-flex format and it allows for some really unique builds without having to force certain positions into your lineups.

Devin Booker

Booker has struggled in games against the Mavs over the last few seasons, but he’s been absolutely smashing without Chris Paul. He’s topped 50+ fantasy points in four of his last give games, including multiple 60+ point games. I don’t see myself getting up to him in my cash lineups tonight, so taking advantage of the looser pricing on OwnersBox and getting some exposure will be a must for me on Monday night.
