NBA DFS 2/27/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Monday…

Players Listed As Questionable

Happy Monday! We have a weird four game slate tonight. I’ll highlight the big names to watch and I’ll be around to answer any questions throughout the day in Discord. You can join the Discord for free here.

Jaylen Brown

Brown is out for the Celtics, which gives big bumps to both Jayson Tatum and Derrick White. Tatum will have a higher ceiling than normal, while White will start and gets around a 4% usage increase. We saw White have some monster games without Brown a few weeks ago, and he should be one of the higher-owned players tonight.

Tyler Herro + Kyle Lowry

Lowry has already been confirmed out, while Herro is questionable to play tonight. Gabe Vincent will continue to start in Lowry’s absence, while Max Strus and Victor Oladipo would bet significant rate increases if Herro is ruled unable to play.

Isaiah Stewart

Enter the tank for the Detroit Pistons. Already down Jalen Duren, the Pistons will also be without both Jaden Ivey and Bojan Bogdanovic tonight — Isaiah Stewart is questionable. We are going to be locking in multiple Pistons guys with how thin they should be — if Stew misses look for James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley to be the main big men available. Alec Burks and Killian Hayes will be chalky plays as well Hami Diallo.

PJ Washington

JT Thor will draw a spot start, but the big winner here is Mark Williams who went absolutely ham over the weekend with Washington sidelined. If he’s confirmed out, Williams is a great DFS play tonight.

This is pretty much all for now – I won’t be shocked to see surprise stuff pop up so stay tuned to my Building Blocks article this afternoon!
