NBA DFS 3/20/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Monday…

Players Listed As Questionable

Happy Monday! As we head towards the close of the NBA regular season, we should expect things to get crazier by the day. Luckily, there’s only one team on a B2B tonight and it’s just a small six game slate. I’ll highlight the big names to watch and I’ll be around to answer any questions throughout the day in Discord. You can join the Discord for free here.

Anthony Edwards

This is a weird situation because it appeared that Edwards suffered a major injury in the Wolves last game, but now it sounds like he avoided anything overly serious. They’ve listed him as questionable tonight, but I don’t really see how he plays here. He’s most likely going to miss tonight’s game and that will bump-up Taurean Prince as one of the highest-owned value plays — while the remaining Wolves starters all see rate and ceiling increases.

Luka Doncic + Kyrie Irving + Tim Hardaway Jr

This one, like Minnesota, is one you just have to read the underlying news on and make an assumption. Luka has been practicing in full, while Kyrie returned to action last game. It looks like both will be playing tonight, however, Tim Hardaway Jr received a morning down-grade to questionable due to an illness. He is less likely to play than Doncic or Irving, but he also won’t affect as much if he’s out. Some more minutes will pop up for guys, but it isn’t going to change the slate like one of the other two getting ruled out.

Rudy Gobert + Naz Reid

These guys have both been questionable for a while now, but both played in their last game. I’m assuming them as more likely to play than not, and both will be popular options in all formats assuming Edwards is ruled out.

Jaren Jackson

Ja Morant is still out for the Grizzlies as he works his way back in terms of conditioning. If Jackson is ruled out we will see Santi Aldama start and be a strong value on both sites while Xavier Tillman will continue to be more in play for DFS.

Lauri Markkanen

This is a bigger one because we would likely see Simone Fontecchio start in place of him and be viable in all formats for value. Both Horton-Tucker and Olynyk’s ceiling would increase and we have seen Agbaji take on a bigger role with Clarkson out recently as well.

As noted in the intro, Houston is the only team on a B2B tonight. They could decide to rest some guys, but we won’t know that until this evening most likely – check my article this afternoon for any updates!
