NBA DFS 3/19/23 – Spike’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Spike’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Brandon Ingram

Smaller slate tonight but Ingram looks incredible! Brandon faces off against The Rockets and the spread is only 5.5…Houston should be able to hang in this game but more importantly it is a fantastic spot for Ingram. Houston is giving up 25 PPG along with 5 APG and 6 RPG to shooting guards. In the 3 games they have played this year he has played in 2 of them but scored over 45 fantasy points in both. One of which Zion played in as well. All signs point to a big game from him and it is no secret as we have him projected for nearly 25% ownership right now.

Damian Lillard

Billups said the other day that Dame will get shut don depending on the next couple of games. They have a matchup against the Clippers tonight in what could possibly be Lillard’s last game of the year (tanking). this is an extremely favorable matchup for him as the Clippers are giving up 29 PPG along with 9 APG and 6.5 RPG to point guards. When they played earlier this year Dame was out but Simons went nuts in place of him. It should be a close game with a spread of only 3.5 but one thing is for sure, Dame will need to have a monster game to stay in this as the Clippers have since added Westbrook to their roster. Nonetheless, I am making Dame a priority in my lineups even with a ownership projecting for around 23%!

Note: Still waiting on some injury news that has yet to drop so stay tuned in the discord channels to get updated on it!

Value Plays

Trendan Watford

Jerami Grant has already been ruled out and Nassir Little is questionable with an illness. Even if Little plays, Watford should be slotted into the starting role regardless. Watford has had solid numbers when starting this year. Four games this year where he has started he avrages about 33 minutes of playing time and double-doubled once and in 2 of those he had 3 or more blocks/steals. He is priced at 5.1K on Draftkings and should be a popular option on a smaller slate. If Little plays, he could be a low owned leverage option for bigger GPP contests.
