NBA DFS 3/9/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Thursday…

Players Listed As Questionable

Happy Thursday! We have another medium-sized slate today, and not a ton of questionable tags to monitor. I’ll highlight the big names to watch and I’ll be around to answer any questions throughout the day in Discord. You can join the Discord for free here.

Jalen Brunson

Obviously this is the biggest news to monitor with Brunson missing the last two games. We will see Immanuel Quickley start in his place if he’s out and be a top play in all formats. Both Julius Randle and RJ Barrett see ceiling projection increases as well.

Jordan Clarkson + Walker Kessler

This has been the same situation for the Jazz over the last few games. Expect more Talen Horton-Tucker and Kris Dunn should Clarkson miss while Kelly Olynyk and Lauri Markkanen both receive rate increases with Walker Kessler off the floor.

Other Injury Situations

Given that there aren’t many Q tags tonight, I’ll into some of the guys we know are out already and how that affects the DFS slate:

Spencer Dinwiddie + Cam Johnson + Nico Claxton: These guys all missing will force a ton of ownership onto the Nets value players. We should see Cam Thomas, Day’Ron Sharpe and Seth Curry be among the highest-owned players on all sites tonight. Nerlens Noel will also see increased minutes for a cheap price.

Ja Morant: HUGE game tonight against the Warriors especially after Draymond’s comments towards Dillon Brooks. Desmond Bane and Tyus Jones will be listed as strong plays for both cash games and GPPs.

Wendell Carte: Moe Wagner will continue to start and be a strong mid-tier value play.

Lamelo Ball: Terry Rozier and Dennis Smith Jr see the ball-handling duties while Kelly Oubre will continue to take as many shots as he wants. Gordon Hayward is a strong play as well.

This is pretty much all for now – check my article this afternoon for any updates!
