NBA DFS – Bales’ Top GPP Play (2/11/21)

Welcome to another edition of Bales’ Top GPP play. In this article, I will outline my favorite NBA GPP play for today’s games. If you want all of my core plays along with our staff’s Final Thoughts articles and access to our Discord, click here

Myles Turner

Turner’s seen mixed results for the Indiana Pacers this season. Through 23 games, he’s averaging 13.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 3.5 blocks, and 1.2 steals (32.6 fantasy points) in 31.1 minutes per game. Turner’s struggled in recent games, though, averaging 24.1 fantasy points in only 27.2 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s scored fewer than 28 fantasy points in each of his last 4 games, although he posted 51.25 fantasy points against the Memphis Grizzlies only 5 games ago.

Turner gets a great matchup against the Detroit Pistons tonight. Detroit currently ranks 22nd in the NBA in pace and defensive efficiency this season. They also rank in the bottom-10 of the NBA in fantasy points allowed per game to opposing centers, per Fantasy Pros. Most importantly, the Pistons are allowing the second-most blocks per game to centers this season. Turner’s usage rating fluctuates quite a bit, although he’s a versatile player that relies heavily on points, rebounds, and blocks. He’s expected to play minutes in the high-20s or low-30s once again tonight. Turner’s a player that consistently goes overlooked in favor of Domantas Sabonis, but he comes with elite upside, specifically in a matchup where he can maximize his block upside.
