NBA DFS – Bales’ Top GPP Play (3/25/21)

Welcome to another edition of Bales’ Top GPP play. In this article, I will outline my favorite NBA GPP play for today’s games. If you want all of my core plays along with our staff’s Final Thoughts articles and access to our Discord, click here

James Wiseman

Wiseman’s seen a plethora of ups and downs throughout his rookie campaign. He’s averaging 11.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1 block, (22.3 fantasy points) in only 20.6 minutes per game through 30 contests. Wiseman hasn’t found success recently, averaging only 19 fantasy points in 26.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. With that being said, he’s played 26 and 28 minutes in his last 2 games after Steve Kerr said he needed to find the rookie big man more playing time as the season progressed.

Wiseman gets an elite matchup against the Sacramento Kings tonight. They currently rank 10th in the NBA in pace and last in defensive efficiency. Sacramento also features one of the worst defenses in the NBA against opposing centers. Wiseman’s usage rating fluctuates quite a bit, and it’s expected to sit around 24% tonight. He boasts the potential to post a usage rating north of 35% on any given night, though. Wiseman’s expected to play 25+ minutes for a third consecutive game, as well. He’s a double-double potential, who can add assists or blocks on any given night. His struggles, in terms of fantasy, have come with limited minutes, and that should be fixed tonight. There are several outstanding center options on this slate, which could make Wiseman go a bit overlooked tonight.
