Updates to come to this section as we approach lock, so continue to check back for more insight.

Hello everybody, and welcome back to another DFS Karma Game Theory article. Today there are a couple things to monitor regarding injuries and COVID-19 protocols, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. For injury news, please make sure to check our injury article here! This is a huge slate with a lot of injury news, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled. Also, Happy Chinese New Year to those that celebrate! I’ll be celebrating with my family this weekend 🙂

  • First off, Kemba Walker and Robert Williams are OUT- This should open the door for Payton Pritchard and Daniel Theis to be the main beneficiaries. Pritchard may or may not start, Teague hasn’t been seeing burn but they might go with him for the start and Pritchard for more run. I love Theis today for a cheap PF/C play, and Detroit is horrid inside. And then of course, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are playable in all formats. I don’t think I will need Tatum on this type of slate though.
  • Mason Plumlee is OUT- *Blake Griffin is currently not listed on the injury report but he has not played a single b2b this season. However, with Plumlee out, maybe he suits up today. Keep an eye out. The rookie Isaiah Stewart started for the Pistons and put on a show vs the Pacers, which I was surprised that he didn’t get into foul trouble in a matchup like that. I think I’ll go back to him again today in all formats. He’s cheap and has a ton of upside.
  • Bradley Beal is OUT- This is a great spot for Russell Westbrook. I normally hate playing Russ. I haven’t played him once this season but I think we have to today at that price point vs the Knicks. Yes, the Knicks have improved on the defensive end a lot. But Russ can do a lot on the floor and without Beal, who has an absurd usage rate, Russ should be primed for a monster game with the ball in his hands a ton today. I think you have to consider him for all formats.
  • Mike Conley is OUT- He will be out once again vs the Bucks, this should give Jordan Clarkson, Donovan Mitchell, and Joe Ingles. They are all still so cheap on FanDuel, it is a tougher matchup vs the Bucks but without Jrue Holiday, the Jazz guards should have an easier time.
  • Paul George is OUT- I think this should be the last game he is out, according to the last report. Kawhi Leonard and Lou Williams have been playing well, and Lou is finally finding his shot again, which bodes well for the Clippers because without that, they were trying to find scoring from other players who just haven’t been consistent. Finally, Lemon Pepper Lou has been showing up, with classic professional scorer performances. They are both great plays today.
  • D’Angelo Russell is OUT- Ricky Rubio got the start last time out and dishes out 10 dimes. I think KAT returning helps him out, he doesn’t shoot much to begin with so he has more assist opportunities here with KAT in the paint. Fantastic play here today.
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is OUT- I don’t like this spot for OKC but they are so shorthanded that we have to consider some of their guys, like Hamidou Diallo and Kenrich Williams. I’m off Al Horford because I think the game is blowout but I expect him to see ownership.
  • LaMarcus Aldridge is OUT- this should guarantee playing time for the usual Keldon Johnson and Jakob Poeltl, along with Rudy Gay. This is a pretty solid matchup today vs the Hawks, and I don’t know if I’ll need to get here for cash games but they are great GPP plays.
  • A few guys are questionable, let’s go over some of them-
  • Cole Anthony, Evan Fournier and Al-Farouq Aminu are questionable, while Frank Mason is OUT. If they are all out again, the Magic only have 8 for tonight. That would boost Dwayne Bacon, Terrence Ross, and Nikola Vucevic. I also like James Ennis. Just keep an eye out here. If one of Anthony or Fournier plays, I’m off Ross/Ennis/Bacon. Vucevic is playable regardless. Note that Michael Carter-Williams is back, so I’m more off Bacon, but Ross is still playable.
  • Devonte’ Graham is questionable, and if he is out, expect my guy LaMelo Ball to shine once again. I wonder what the Hornets will do once Graham is back, they can’t send Melo to the bench after what he’s done in the starting lineup. I can see them benching PJ Washington, but we’ll see. Nonetheless, great matchup here vs the Wolves. Terry Rozier gets a bump as well if he is out.

That is all for today’s article! I appreciate you guys all for reading and as always, it’s been your boy Tristan aka SrirachaDFS, and I’m out, peace!
