Ricky’s StableDuel Strategy – Santa Anita 3/19/22

Hello Karma Nation! We are back for another day of racing contests on StableDuel! Today, I have shifted my focus out west to Santa Anita. StableDuel has TWO awesome contests for Santa Anita loaded into the game. You have your option between a $75 buy In with a $6,000 minimum prize pool or a $150 double up where the top 40% of stables will win $300. There is NO BETTER TIME than NOW to SIGN UP!

If you’re new to StableDuel, the idea is simple. Select 10 horses to build your “stable” while staying within the salary cap of $50,000. Horses are assigned prices based on their morning line odds, so you cannot use all favorites in your stable. StableDuel awards points for horses that come 1st – 5th and subtracts horses that finish outside of the top 5. This is why it is crucial to make sure you’re reading our content to narrow in on value horses that we think can get points.

High Price Favorites

#1 American Admiral $11,000 – Race 2
This horse is the huge favorite in a 5 horse field. This son of American Pharoah is taking the biggest drop in horse racing after stringing together back-to-back-to-back 2nd place finishes in special weight company. I expect a first place finish for this one, but remember, you can find value in this race as everyone will get a minimum of 10 points for finishing, minus lengths lost by.

Mid Price Plays

#7 Divine Armor $3,000 – Race 5
I think Race 5 is pretty wide open, although I think it goes through Disco Ball. But on a 9 race card, you need to find some value horses. I found some value with Divine Armor. This horse loves to finish on dirt route races in the StableDuel money. Don’t expect a win, but 3rd or 4th is within reach.

Value Plays

#4 Prince Major $750 – Race 7
I think Prince Major is going to go overlooked in this race. Toss this horse debut, and you have a horse that’s 3 for 3 in the StableDuel money at route distances. There are other likely winners in this race but I think this horse does have what it takes to win this race.
