Ben’s Building Blocks – NBA Cash Game Plays for 11/1/18

We have a shorter six game Thursday slate, so I will be dialing back my cash game exposure a bit. With there being less games, and less options, I’m going to simply highlight some of my favorite plays and give some insight on how I will be constructing my teams tonight. Let’s get to it!

Value

As always in NBA, we are going to need value to plug in some of the top plays and that’s typically how I like to start my teams. Some of the top value plays sticking out to me tonight are Al-Farouq Aminu, JJ Redick and Markelle Fultz. We also have a scenario where a lot of the Kings players appear under-priced to me relative to the elite matchup with the Atlanta Hawks and a 233 O/U in Vegas. Buddy Hield, De’Aaron Fox, Nemanja Bjelica, Willie Cauley-Stein and even Iman Shumpert are all way under-priced. By taking Aminu, one of Fultz/Redick, and some Kings that shoud provide us with a nice, cheap floor which will lead us into my favorite overall plays who we will be trying to cram in.

Guard

There are three names at the top of the guards tonight in Ben Simmons, Damian Lillard and Kemba Walker. On FanDuel, given their drop the lowest score format, it’s much easier to get to a Simmons to Lillard while on DraftKings I’m leaning more heavily towards Walker. Walker is right near the top of the NBA in usage rate, and he should be in line for 18+ shot attempts against the Oklahoma City Thunder yet he remains under $9,000. Simmons floor is much higher than Lillard’s for FanDuel, but Lillard is averaging well over a FPPM this season and you can make the argument for both. The top mid-tier options are Trae Young, Jamal Murray and Jrue Holiday.

Forward/Center

Giannis Antetokounmpo highlights the top tier for me here, and with a banged up Anthony Davis on a back-to-back it wouldn’t shock me if he ended up sitting out. The Greek Freak is probably my top overall play on the slate, even in a matchup with Boston, and I’m going to spend the majority of my evening figuring out how to comfortably fit him in my lineups. My top mid tier plays (not naming Kings players) are as follows: Nikola Jokic, Nikola Mirotic, Larry Nance, Paul Millsap. Tobias Harris, Montrezl Harrell.

Overall, I’m looking to plug in Aminu, one of the sixers, and a few Kings thus being able to jam in Giannis and one of the top PG plays.
