Welcome back Grinders to another addition of my Monkey Knife Fight Plays Article. We have the start of the Western Conference Finals between 2 powerhouses of the West. This should be a fun series to watch between the 2 best backcourts in the league!
Favorite Plays
Steph Curry OVER 30.5 scoring prop: This is a prop I love with Durant still out in a great matchup. He ended up with 0 points in the first half due to foul trouble and poor shooting but exploded in the second half for 33 points. He’s in a great matchup vs Damian Lillard who is allowing the 6th most points per game to point guards and most points to point guards based off of teams that are left in the playoffs.Curry is averaging 1 point per minute this season with Durant and Cousins off the floor and I’m expecting 40+ minutes out of him tonight with the lack of depth on this team. As long as he is shooting well this prop should hit.
Klay Thompson OVER 3.5 3s prop: I love his scoring prop too at 22.5 but that’s gone now. This prop is just as good. He’s coming off 2 straight double digit 3 point attempt games. He’s mainly a catch and shoot guy so a majority of his shots are good shots. He has a rough matchup this series against CJ McCollum but since he is a catch and shoot guy a majority of his 3s are good looks due to screens and just great off ball movement. Klay just needs a little space to get up a high percentage shot so if he’s getting double digit shots he just needs to make 40% or even less from 3 to hit. With Durant out him and curry have to load on their back for scoring. I’m not expecting as good of a game from the bench that we saw against the rockets so even more scoring is going to be needed from these 2 to win the game.
