NBA DFS 1/18/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Wednesday…

Players Listed As Questionable

We have a nice nine game slate on tap tonight, with plenty of moving parts to monitor when it comes to injury situations. On these big slates, I can almost guarantee we get some late additions to the injury report, but maybe not since only two teams are on the tail-end of a back-to-back. Overall, I’ll highlight the best plays in my daily article and do my best to touch on the biggest spots below — I’ll also be in Discord all day answering any questions. You can hop in the Discord for free here.

Donovan Mitchell (D)

Caris LeVert becomes a top mid-tier play with him out while Darius Garland and both big-men see increased roles as well.

Kawhi Leonard (D)

LAC are an absolute mess today – PG is already out and I’m going to assume Kawhi as out also. Covington and Powell are my favorites from them but the rest of the starters are in play as well.

LeBron James

Obviously this is some of the biggest news we will wait on today — Russ Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Kendrick Nunn and the rest of the Lakers players would all get major boosts.

Rudy Gobert

He was Q prior to Monday’s game and then exited in the first half – Naz Reid would be one of the top plays on the slate if he’s ruled out.

Jamal Murray

Murray and Bones were both Q to play last night and ended up giving it a go – and we’ve seen Murray play on B2B’s recently after not accomplishing that early in the season. If he misses, Hyland would become a very strong play and Bruce Brown would see increased minutes.

Lauri Markkanen

Jarred Vanderbilt would start in his place and the other starters would see increased roles. Guys like Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley are more in play — and Walker Kessler who is coming off a 50 DK point game on Monday.

Kevin Porter Jr

KJ Martin will continue to start in his place and Jalen Green sees the biggest rates boost among the rest of the starters.
