What’s up everyone and welcome to Spike’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Spencer Dinwiddie

Luka has been ruled out for the weekend. Thus, leaving the reigns for Dinwiddie to control. The Warriors are giving up about 30 points per game and nearly 10 assists per game to point guards. Spencer is in a favorable matchup here but will have to do a lot to keep this close without Christian Wood as well. Either way we have him projected for about 48 FP’s aat a 7.1k price tag. If he has a ceiling game he could get to 70. Projecting to be the ighest owned player for these reasons so we just need to lock him in our lineups and move on!

Mikal Bridges

Normally I wouldn’t write someone up who is on a back to back but this matchup is enticing! Bridges has been playing the 2 (SG role) without Booker pretty much the last 5-6 games. Detroit is giving up the 3rd most points and the most assists to SG’s in the last month. The Suns upset Boston last night and will look to continue that momentum in a much easier matchup tonight in Detroit. The portal has him projected for about 40 FP’s at a 7.2k price tag making him a solid play overall. Also, for what it’s worth I think Deandre Ayton is in as good of a spot if not a better one but will be higher owned.

Note: Still waiting on some injury news that has yet to drop so stay tuned in the discord channels to get updated on it!

Value Plays

Caleb Martin

A lot of people are going to pick up Gabe Vincent with Lowry tonight but I am looking at Martin. When Caleb is playing without Lowry his usage and stats get a solid bump up. Yes, there is still Adebayo, Herro and Butler but he gets more minutes and more looks. Martin has a ceiling of about 37 FP’s which is actually higher then that of teammate Max Strus. He shouldn’t take too much ownership which will also make him a leverage play. Milwaukee is giving up over 25 points per game and 14.5 rebounds to small forwards in the last month to solidify my thoughts with Martin.
