2019 PGA Championship – Trevis’ Punt Plays

Bet on MyBookie

For those of you new to the plethora of content DFSKarma.com puts out on a daily/weekly basis, this is my weekly PGA article that focuses on the cheapos no one else dare write about. It had massive success last year with my getting sub $7K (DK) golfers finishing top 10 at less than 1% ownership on an almost weekly basis. Well, I’m bringing it back this year with the same concept. My cap this year is $7300 in DraftKings pricing (but you can still play them on FanDuel, FantasyDraft, or Yahoo). I focus on recent form and course history heavily to spit out my favorite 5 golfers from within that range.

GREAT NEWS! We have officially partnered with the premier PGA DFS data services of Fantasy National

That being said, my PGA Punt Plays article looks a little different (for the better) moving forward. You will see below that I have highlighted 5 players within Fantasy National within my price range of $7300 and below.

2019 PGA Championship

This event is played at Bethpage State Park (Black Course) as a Par 70 at 7,436 yards. This course featured Poa greens.

Recent Form

Ah yes, CH3. Somehow cracks #1 overall in my model after taking a dump last week and peacing out. He is super sharp recently on Poa which is best in the field. Will I be overexposed this week? Probably.

JB Holmes comes in at 5th overall in total strokes gained. This man has 6 stats ranking in the Top 13! At $6600, I have no problem plugging him with confidence he will make the cut and pay off his price tag.

Ryan Palmer never serves me well. Every time I play him, the other Ryan (Ryan Moore), does better. He isn’t the best recently on Poa, but having 4 stats in the Top 11, I think he is worth a look this week.

Joooooooooost!!! This guy should get minimal exposure (if you are playing all of the Punts across your lineups). I will have him in one or two for GPPs. We are simply hoping he makes the cut at $6800.

Keegan is another guy that decides to not show up every time I roster. He is the WOAT on Poa but will hope his long and medium game can overcome that on this Par 70.

Fritelli at bottom of the barrel salary is worth a look. His best stat is 34th in Poa putting, but his worst is only 61st. If he makes the cut, he hits value.

(Honorable Mention) Not in the image, but I think Si Woo Kim hits value this week at 14th overall in my model.

Tournament History

This event changes courses each year so there can’t be any correlation to the event’s history. The only thing you can pull from this is how well the golfers perform at such a prominent event, even if the courses are altered each year. So yeah, don’t pay any attention to this chart for this week.
