Slate Thoughts:

  • This slate looks like it is going to be a lot of fun.  We have one huge favorite on this slate tonight, and that is T1.  They will be taking on SP, in what should be a very straight forward 2-0 sweep on the side of T1.  T1 have the third highest projected kill total on the slate sitting at 15.  T1 are coming off a complete dismantling of GenG and have played pretty good this slate.  They rank 2nd in DRA%, 3rd in GPM, 4th in gold differential @15 minutes and average the 2nd most kills per game in the LCK.  T1 carry a high price on DK, but are the safest play on the slate.  If you cannot be around when lineups come out for T1 I would suggest fading the JNG spot for T1, because who knows who will actually get the start.  T1 make for a great play for cash games.  Teddy is my main target from T1.
  • Next we have two teams that I really like tonight.  JDG and DWG are both favorites in their match-ups tonight.  JDG have played good this split and are coming off big series wins vs. EDG and IG.  JDG rank 2nd in kills per game, 5th in DRA%, and 6th in HER%, all of which are higher than LGD.  LGD does have an advantage in gold differential @ 15 minutes.  I think that JDG will win this series, however it will be a close series.  I see this going to JDG 2-1, but would not be shocked if JDG were to pull off a sweep.  LokeN and Kanavi are a great way to start your JDG build.
  • DWG are projected for the 4th highest kill total tonight vs. a AF team that on the surface looks pretty good, but most of their wins have come against the bottom teir of the LCK.  Their two series losses came vs T1 and DRX.  I expect a similar outcome tonight vs. DWG.  Both of theses squads rank in the top 3 in the LCK in kills per game and top 3 in fewest deaths per game.  DWG rank near the top of the LCK in GPM, HER%, DRA% and gold differential @ 15 minutes.  Despite the good record that AF come into this match-up with, they rank near the middle to the bottom of the LCK in the same metrics that DWG rank near the top in.  I think DWG win this series 2-1, but again, like JDG, do not be surprised if they are able to pull of the sweep.  ShowMaker, Ghost and BerryL would be my core from a DWG stack.
  • The last couple squads on my radar are FPX and VG.  I will be getting exposure to both sides of this match-up.  FPX are favored here at (-335).  FPX have looked like the typical dominant FPX squad that we have grown accustomed to watching.  Vici Gaming have looked quite impressive as of late too, however,  FPX out rank VG in most key metrics ranking in the top 3-4.  VG have been pretty good in the early game this split, so if they can snowball early they will have a chance, but I am just not seeing it tonight.  FPX also has the clear advantage at JNG.  DoinB, Tian and Lwx will be to much for this Vici team in the end.
  • In cash tonight I think you want to look to pair T1 with either JDG or DWG, or I can even see a JDG/DWG stack in cash tonight.  For tournaments I will be targeting FPX, VG(limited exposure), and will also get me a share of AF to pair with one of the favorites.
